[44] Owens? menswear collections always feel like a work of art on their own: distancing himself from regular ready-to-wear and tailoring codes and traditions, Owens analyzes, dissects and intellectualizes the garment and the design result is often something completely new, unexpected - and unique. As a former fashion stylist, I always enjoy the finishing touches of a design project, such as styling rooms, or more specifically bookcases. [22] Some of its current exhibits include Ettore Sottsass ?s "There Is a Planet," running until March 11; and the upcoming "Collection of Questions About Contemporary Living," an experiential exhibit about home design and "999 possible ways to live," which will run from January 12 through April 2. [44] Personally, I'm currently working on a capsule collection of my own designs that is set to debut in the fall of this year. [14]

[28] As well as selling the new styles, it will stock a selection of Birkenstock's main lines and furniture and accessories designed by Owens. [27] For this edition of the Birkenstock Box, Owens has also rehauled the structure, which is made from two shipping containers, stacked on top of one another. [27]

Ahead of the collection's launch in March, the shipping containers will be placed in front of Owens' Los Angeles store, which opened in 2015 and features interiors inspired by the imagery of religious films.
