[43] The reporting API is much more powerful and gives you access to nearly all of the data Google Analytics collects about your website, but it has a slightly steeper learning curve. [45] If you are a programmer you can use the GA API, if you want there are excel tools but I prefer the better approach of importing Google Analytics data into a centralized datawarehouse. [44] With Funnel you can choose whether to report on advertising results based on the native pixels of the advertising platforms or based on Google Analytics data. As many people have mentioned, you can connect your GA data with Google?s Data Studio and get reports. [44] To reduce the load on their servers and to provide users with a relatively quick response to their query, Google Analytics limits reports to 500,000 randomly sampled sessions at the profile level for its calculations. [24] In businesses with blended strategies like these, the surface-level frequency and recency data provided in the basic dashboard is not enough. [23]

There is no reason why dashboard developers should not want to create a report that looks pleasing, and more importantly, is easy to use. [31] A dashboard and the KPIs it shows will define the decisions and reports you create and the ideas people have. [49] Unlike a report, which will be used to help us make a decision, a dashboard is showing the goals we care about. [49] These dashboards can be customized to fit any marketer’s needs and to help them keep track of the key performance indicators (KPIs) that are important to their business. [27]

You may want to create a blog dashboard that breaks down conversions by post or author, overall leads coming from the blog, as well as the originating marketing source of visitors to the blog.
