Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters is an international journal dedicated to the dissemination of fundamental knowledge in all areas of cellular and molecular biology, cancer cell biology, and certain aspects of biochemistry, biophysics and biotechnology. [1] Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters was founded in 1996 and transferred to BioMed Central in 2016. [1] With constant new discoveries in cellular and molecular biology, an undergraduate degree is no longer enough to keep you advancing professionally. [2]

If a student decides at some point to pursue only the undergraduate portion of the combined degree, the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology will still recognize the graduate courses taken in lieu of undergraduate courses. [3] Students will normally apply directly to the department of Cell and Molecular Biology for the combined BS/MS program during their third academic year. [3] Interdisciplinary scientific interactions are provided through the graduate program in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology & Biochemistry, which also includes faculty from the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, and Health Sciences. [4] Our program, with its strong emphasis on biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, gives students the advanced training they need to succeed in these groundbreaking fields. [2] Qualified undergraduates may be admitted to an accelerated bachelor’s/master’s program and obtain both a BS and an MS in cell and molecular biology within an accelerated time frame. [3] The 15-credit certificate program in bioinformatics provides a practical, hands-on approach to computer applications in molecular biology. [2]

The first year serves as an “umbrella” program leading to training in one of four concentrations: Structural & Chemical Biology; Developmental & Regenerative Biology; Cancer Biology; and Molecular & Cellular Medicine. [5]

[6] Mr. Darwin will be portrayed by professor Kenneth Noll of UConn s Department of Molecular and Cell Biology. [7] Our students focus on understanding of the cellular pathways, molecular signaling networks and systems-based mechanisms that govern human development and disease, leading to the generation of innovative new therapies. [5]

The Program in Cancer Biology provides students in the Cell and Molecular Biology Graduate Group an opportunity to undertake concentrated study of the basic biological processes that underlie the control of cell growth and metabolism and how these controls are abrogated during the initiation and progression of cancer. [8] The Master’s in Cell and Molecular Biology program is designed to enhance the competitiveness of students applying to postgraduate professional schools, especially Medical and Dental School, but also Veterinary School, Optometry School, Business School, Law School, and Ph.D. programs. [9] Tulane’s Cell & Molecular Biology MS program is more than just another year of classes, and offers many advantages over other programs. [9] Advances in cell and molecular biology have catapulted our understanding of the science of life from the basic understanding of how cells and the components of cells interact within living organisms. [10]
